Corkor is a Portuguese company dedicated to create eco-friendly products made from cork.
Born in 2011, by the hands of Natália Guerreiro and Vitor Lopes, Corkor started with a team of two (themselves) personally handcrafting all their products in a small warehouse located at Palmela, and selling them online to a few clients in Europe.
They quickly realized, though, that there was a big demand for eco-friendly and vegan products in a world in need of sustainable solutions.
As a response to that demand, in 2012 Corkor started selling globally. The orders increased rapidly and in 2015 they needed to move to a bigger workshop, at Barreiro, where a handful of local Portuguese artisans help handcraft the now amplified collection of cork products.
By producing locally Corkor is still able to maintain the quality of the products and the very client oriented service.
Practical and beautiful lightweight.

I love the process of creation from pencil and paper to the final result. For me, challenging myself to learn and produce better things, educating myself and passing on knowledge is my life's goal.
Passionate for sustainability but also for technology and gadgets. Corkor was the perfect way to mix both worlds by producing eco-friendly technology cases.
Cork inspired us because it is a natural wonder. Sustainability is one of the big issues of our times. It touches many aspects of our lives right down to the materials we choose to buy, no wonder there is a growing demand for materials that are kind to the environment. Cork stands out, maybe as the number one.
Corkor’s products have cork as their main raw material. As a complement they use cotton and polyester for lining, as well as some aluminum for the zippers and buttons.
Choosing only the best material available on the market, Corkor manages to handcraft high quality, eco-friendly and vegan products.
At their workshop at Barreiro, the process of producing a wallet, case or bag is still mainly manual, using a machine only for perfect finishings.
The choice of cork was not casual. As Portuguese Corkor’s co-founders recognize, since childhood, the versatility of cork. Still, when they started digging more into the cork world, they were amazed with all its “unknown” qualities. You can see them in our page “Why Cork?”
By using cork as the main raw material of their products, Corkor aims to minimize it's ecological footprint.
