ACCOUNT AND PAYMENTS

HOW CAN I REGISTER AND PLACE AN ORDER?
If you would like to login or register at www.corkor.com, please go to our Customer Login Page. If you prefer not to register you can still checkout as a guest. Although it is not required to register to place an order, doing so will speed up future checkouts enabling us to retrieve your billing and shipping information.

IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO PLACE AN ORDER?
All orders must be placed at www.corkor.com. If you wish to purchase an item at a physical location, see where to buy Corkor products.

I CAN’T REMEMBER MY LOGIN DATA. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

WHY SHOULD I REGISTER ON CORKOR.COM?
Creating an account allows you to:

- Store shipping and billing addresses to speed up your checkout.
- Easily access your current order details and history.
- Receive notifications when New Collections, Products or Sales are happening.

IS IT SAFE TO BUY FROM WWW.CORKOR.COM?
To provide a secure online shopping experience, Corkor integrates fraud prevention tools into the online payment process. The entire transaction is reviewed for evidence of fraud in order to ensure identification of the cardholder and protect against fraud. For this reason, Corkor reserves the right to check the validity of all payments prior to shipping and to request additional documents, such as identity documents or proof of residence. Any information you submit to us will be treated with confidentiality.

TO WHICH COUNTRIES DO YOU SHIP?
Corkor delivers worldwide - from Portugal to wherever you are. Additionally, all our packages offer a tracking service for added peace of mind.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?
We will start processing your order as soon as the bank accepts your payment. If you encounter any problem processing a transaction, please contact our customer service. All items purchased  will be shipped the next business day after the payment is cleared. Once your item has been dispatched, you will receive an email with a tracking number.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO ARRIVE?
It depends on the Shipping Method you’ve selected. Please note that standard shipping times are estimated while express shipping times are guaranteed. If the requests are made Monday through Friday before 2PM (WEST) they will be processed during the same day. If your order has been confirmed on a Saturday, Sunday or holiday, it will be shipped on Monday or the first working day. Once an order has been dispatched a tracking number will be made available.

HOW MUCH DOES STANDARD DELIVERY COST?
Standard delivery is free on orders over $79; for different order values, a $4.90 flat rate applies. Express shipping rates will be indicated at checkout. Please note that Corkor does not control the taxes and/or customs that may apply. You will be responsible for paying additional customs clearance fees outside the EU. In most cases, the costs are charged at the time of delivery of the order. Customs policies differ from country to country. Please contact your local customs office for more information.

HOW MUCH DOES EXPRESS DELIVERY COST?
Express delivery rates vary according to your location and will be precisely indicated
at checkout.  Please note that Corkor does not control the taxes and/or customs that may apply. You will be responsible for paying additional customs clearance fees outside the EU. CAN I TRACK MY ORDER?

MY TRACKING LINK DOESN’T WORK. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Once your item has been dispatched, you will receive an email with a tracking number. If your tracking link doesn’t work, try again later. If the error persists, please contact Customer Support.

I WANT TO MODIFY MY ORDER. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you wish to make changes on your order, please contact Customer Service as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate any modifications whenever possible. However, if your order is already processed and shipped we won’t be able to fulfill your request.

I WANT TO CANCEL AN ORDER. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact Customer Service as soon as possible. 

HOW CAN I EXCHANGE/ RETURN A PRODUCT?

You can return a product within 30 days of receiving it, paying the resultant shipping costs.
To get detailed instructions on how you can exchange or return an item, please contact Customer Service. Once you have submitted your request, Corkor will contact you (usually within the same business day). After receiving the shipment, we will refund the corresponding amount of the order. We will not refund the costs of the return.

HOW DOES THE REFUND PROCESS WORK?
Refunds are made using the original payment method whenever possible. Once the return is processed, a refund will be issued and  the credit will be available on your account within 3 to 5 business days.

IF I RETURN A PRODUCT, ARE THE SHIPMENT COSTS REIMBURSED?
No. You will be credited with the amount relative to the products purchased. Shipment costs, if applied, will not be reimbursed.

I RECEIVED A GIFT FROM CORKOR AND WOULD LIKE TO EXCHANGE OR RETURN IT FOR CREDIT. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you wish to return or exchange a gift, please contact Customer Service to get detailed instructions. 

CAN I RETURN AN ITEM PURCHASED ON SALE?
Our 30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee states that if for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can simply return it. That applies to all our products, including sale products. To get detailed instructions on how you should proceed, contact Customer Service.

CAN I PLACE AN ORDER AS A GIFT FOR SOMEONE?
Yes. When your order a gift from Corkor, the invoice will be sent to you, not to the recipient. For a more personalized and special experience, we also offer free gift wrapping and the option to include a message at checkout.

CAN I PLACE AN ORDER IN THE NAME OF A COMPANY?
If you want to place an order in the name of a company you can either ask for an invoice with the corresponding company data or you can create a new account. If you are interested in reselling Corkor products, please email us and we will get in touch as soon as we can. For corporate gifts inquiries please use this contact form.  

I WOULD LIKE TO SELL CORKOR PRODUCTS. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

WHERE CAN I BUY CORKOR PRODUCTS?

All our products are online. However, if you wish to purchase an item at a physical location, see where you can buy Corkor products.

DO CORKOR PRODUCTS HAVE A WARRANTY?
Yes. Corkor products are warranted against defects for a one year period starting at order date. If you feel something is amiss on an item purchased at www.corkor.com, we vow to repair it at our own cost. If said item is eligible for our warranty policy and cannot be repaired, we will send an exact replacement. If we no longer have stock available for a replacement, we will issue a Corkor gift card for the purchased price of the item or a refund.

Examples of qualifying manufacturing defects include problems with zipper construction, loose stitching or lining, or hardware malfunction. Please note our manufacturer's warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, neglect or accidents.

Examples of what is not covered under our manufacturer's warranty:
- Damage from adhesives
- Damage from pets
- Discoloration or dampness from storage or exposure
- Exposure to chemicals
- Improper care
- Lost or stolen items
- Scratches, spots, or marks from normal use
- Stains or color transfers

Repairs: After inspection, eligible items will be repaired within one week of receiving it.
Replacements: After inspection, a replacement item(s) will be issued and will be shipped.
Refunds:  After inspection, the return is processed and a refund will be issued.

You should see the credit on your account within 3 to 5 business days. If your item fails to meet our repairs, replacements or refunds criteria, we will contact you with options to proceed. Please note that as per company policy, the customer is responsible for shipping the product back to our warehouse in Portugal. All returned packages must be sent with a tracking number (packages can be sent without tracking at your own risk). Corkor cannot be held responsible for any returned packages. WHERE CAN I FIND THE MEASUREMENTS FOR CORKOR PRODUCTS?

WHAT IS THE MATERIAL OF CORKOR’S WALLETS AND BAGS?
All of Corkor’s products are crafted out of cork fabric: a high quality sustainable resource, which we believe is the perfect alternative to animal leather. Unlike the heavy chemical processing of leather, cork leather production is chemical-free.After being harvested, cork is left to air dry for six months and then boiled and steamed. Heat and pressure are applied to press it into blocks, which are later sliced in thin sheets that can be transformed in a multitude of cork leather accessories. Because of the simple and natural processing, cork fabric retains all the qualities “raw” cork is known for, namely the lightness, water resistance, stain resistance, slow burning, softness and uniqueness. 

HOW WILL CORK WALLETS AND BAGS AGE AND BEHAVE?
 
The quality and suppleness of cork fabric products can only be compared to that of leather goods. But, unlike leather, cork fabric is 100% natural and vegan, water repellent, stain resistant and scratch-proof. Another advantage of cork fabric over leather is that it’s very low-maintenance. To keep your vegan cork accessories in good shape, all you need to do is clean them with water and soap. Your new cork accessories will age in a nicely kept manner, lasting you for years to come, with added character.

CAN I GET MY CORK WALLETS AND BAGS WET?
Thanks to its natural suberin coating — suberin is a waterproofing waxy substance found in cork — cork wallets and bags are practically impermeable to liquids and gases. Thanks to cork’s natural resistance to moisture, your cork wallet and/or bag will endure adverse weather conditions and age gracefully.

WHAT IS THE DURABILITY OF CORK WALLETS AND BAGS?
The quality, durability and suppleness of cork wallets and bags can only be compared to that of high-quality leather goods. Like most leather accessories, cork accessories have a lifespan of several years, aging with style and character. Unlike leather, cork fabric is 100% natural and vegan, water repellent, stain resistant and scratch-proof.

Cork wallets and bags are very low-maintenance — there is no need to have your products professionally handled. To keep your vegan cork accessories in good shape, all you need to do is clean them regularly (and gently) with water and soap.

HOW SHOULD I CLEAN MY PRODUCTS?
Cork is naturally stain and water resistant. To improve the durability of your cork item and keep it in top shape, you should clean it regularly with water and soap, using gentle circular motions. To perfectly clean your cork wallet or bag, follow these instructions:

1. Fill an adequate sized recipient with warm water. If your item is very dirty (or if you prefer it) you can add 3 drops of a mild dish-washing detergent or a mild liquid detergent (like those formulated for delicate fabrics and materials) and mix it in.
2. Dip a soft, clean cloth into the detergent solution and wring it dry.  Get your item and sweep off all the visible dirt, making sure you cover the entire surface in the first brushing.  
3. Get your cloth back into the solution and wring it a little less the second time. Start rubbing the surface in circles as gently as you can. Move through the piece, getting to those places where there is still dirt on.
4. If you feel it’s necessary, dip the cloth again and rub difficult spots again. Don’t forget to go easy on the surface. Once you feel you’re done with all the dirt, you should get a clean soft cloth and wipe the item clean. Allow it to dry.

Recommendations  
- Use a soft cloth.  
- Don’t use more detergent than recommended.  
- Don’t use “cork cleaning products”. To clean your cork wallet or bag all you really need is soap and water.
